Dr. Mark Bradbury
obtained his Ph.D. in political science/public administration at the University of Georgia in 2004. Formerly an Assistant
Professor in the Master of Public Administration program at Binghamton
University, he has accepted an Assistant Professor position at Appalachian
State and will teach in the areas of public and nonprofit management, human
resource management, public service ethics, policy analysis and program
evaluation. He has served as Research Coordinator in the Carl Vinson Institute
of Government. In addition to book
chapters, he has also published articles in the Justice System Journal, State
and Local Government Review, Georgia
Law Review and the Journal of Health
and Human Services Administration.
Sunghoon Roh,
Ph.D. candidate in criminal justice at Sam Houston
State University,
has accepted an Assistant Professor position at Appalachian State and will
teach in the areas of policing, crime mapping, comparative criminal justice and
crime prevention. He previously served
as a Chief Officer in the Busanjin Police Department and as a Commander of a combat police force
unit in Busan Metropolitan Policy Agency in Busan, South Korea. He has published articles in journals such as
Asian Policing and the Electronic Journal of the Center for
Research and Doctoral Studies in Educational Leadership.
Dr. George Ehrhardt
obtained his Ph.D. in political science at Indiana University
in 2002. Formerly a Visiting Assistant Professor of political science at Miami
University of Ohio, he has accepted an Assistant Professor position at
Appalachian State University and will teach in the areas of international
relations, comparative politics, Asian politics and Japanese politics. He has obtained grants to travel to and study
in Japan and has published a two book chapters -- one on
American and Chinese Misunderstandings and another on Japan’s managed globalization. In
addition he has an article on Japan’s
engagement with North Korea
in the Journal of Pacific Asia.
