- Thursday, October 9th in Attic Window room of the Plemmons Student Union at 5:00 p.m. POLITICAL POLLING: The good, the bad and the misleading, how to read polls and who should you trust. Hunter Bacote, director of the Elon University poll, the most quoted, non-partisan poll in North Carolina and Dean Debnam (tentative), director of Public Policy Polling, the most successful of a new breed of pollsters who use automated calling in their surveys.
- Wednesday, October 22nd in the Table Rock room of the Plemmons Student Union at 7:00 p.m. THE MESSAGE: From 'Spin' to quick response, how and why do political campaigns say what they do. Gary Pearce, Democratic consultant to state and national campaigns, including Gov. Jim Hunt and Sen. John Edwards and Paul Schumaker, Republican consultant, national and statewide campaigns including Senator Richard Burr.
- Thursday, November 6th in the Table Rock room of the Plemmons Student Union at 7:00 p.m. THE DUST CLEARS: What the election results say about the campaign just finished, and what it means for the next campaign. Scott Falmond, Democratic consultant to national and statewide campaigns, key in the Obama campaign in N.C. and former Exec. Director of the N.C. Democratic Party. Still working on another presenter.
